New Press Release: MODERATOR Advances Sustainable Digital Infrastructure with Innovative Cooling Technology

The MODERATOR project has published its latest press release, announcing a major milestone in the transition toward energy-efficient and climate-conscious data centres.
The new release highlights the development and validation of a next-generation immersion cooling tank by CoolBlock (powered by Synapsecom). The system is designed to significantly reduce power consumption while enabling the recovery and reuse of waste heat — transforming data centres from energy-intensive facilities into contributors to Europe’s circular energy economy.
This milestone reflects MODERATOR’s broader vision for integrating immersion cooling, waste-heat recovery, and intelligent energy management to support Europe’s green and digital transitions. By combining high-efficiency cooling with scalable heat-reuse strategies, the project aims to reduce carbon emissions, lower operational costs, and create value for local communities and industries.
The Press Release also outlines the next steps in the project, including real-environment demonstration and the evaluation of multiple heat-reutilization scenarios, such as hot-water production, space heating, and electricity generation using ORC technology.
We invite you to read the full Press Release and explore how MODERATOR continues to shape the future of sustainable digital infrastructure.
