MODERATOR Advisory Board reviews project progress and next steps

The MODERATOR project held an online meeting with its Advisory Board to present the progress achieved so far and discuss the next steps in the project’s development.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the consortium to receive external expert feedback on the project’s direction, technical progress, and upcoming activities. Advisory Board input is an important part of MODERATOR’s governance structure, helping ensure that the project continues to advance in line with its objectives and with a clear view of technical feasibility, stakeholder relevance, and future implementation pathways.
During the meeting, partners presented updates on key components of the MODERATOR approach, including the overall project objectives, the development of the immersion cooling system, progress on phase change materials and the heat recovery system, and the identification of potential heat reuse options.
The discussion focused on how these components contribute to MODERATOR’s broader goal: supporting more energy-efficient data centre operation through the integration of immersion cooling, advanced materials, waste-heat recovery, thermal energy storage, and reuse pathways.
The meeting also helped prepare the consortium for the next General Assembly, where partners will continue reviewing technical progress and planning the next stages of integration, testing, and assessment.
MODERATOR thanks the Advisory Board members and all participating partners for their contributions and constructive feedback.
