The Moderator Project's Impact at the 12th Swiss Symposium on Thermal Energy Storage

On January 22nd and 23rd, we had the privilege of participating in the 12th Swiss Symposium on Thermal Energy Storage, in Lucerne, Switzerland, an event marked by a collaborative spirit and a shared commitment to advancing thermal energy storage solutions. Held under the auspices of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts - CC Thermal Energy Storage, the symposium was a hub of innovative thinking and dialogue.

The event was significantly enriched by contributions from our partners at the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH), including Dimitris Koutsonikolas, Akrivi Asimakopoulou, and Charitini Matsouka. Dimitris' presentation, titled “Heat Recovery, Storage and Re-Use in Data Centers: The MODERATOR Approach,” was particularly well-received, highlighting our project's cutting-edge approaches to energy efficiency.

Throughout the symposium, participants engaged in a series of insightful talks, interactive workshops, and dynamic panel discussions that not only showcased the latest research but also addressed the pressing challenges faced by the industry today. It was a great opportunity for experts to share ideas and forge new partnerships.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the organizers, especially Anastasia Stamatiou, Anabel Palacios Trujillo, Prof. Dr. Jörg Worlitschek, and Isabel Kottmann, whose expert planning and organization made this event a success. The connections made and the discussions had at this symposium have left us inspired and eager to contribute further to the development of sustainable energy solutions.
