Thermal Energy Storage Workshop 2024

The MODERATOR project was proudly represented at the Thermal Energy Storage Workshop 2024, held in Trondheim, Norway, on 5-6 November 2025, with a presentation from our partner, Galina Simonsen from SINTEF Industry.

Their presentation, titled “Bridge between Immersion Cooling and TES”, highlighted the synergistic integration of immersion cooling technologies with thermal energy storage (TES) systems — a key focus area within the MODERATOR project.

The session demonstrated how the combination of these innovative technologies can significantly enhance energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness in thermal management applications. The discussion also explored the broader potential of this approach to address challenges in high-density computing, renewable energy systems, and industrial heat recovery.

By participating in this workshop, MODERATOR contributes to knowledge exchange within the energy research community and promotes the importance of integrating cooling and energy storage technologies to support Europe’s sustainability goals.
