New Blog Post: How X-520 Immersion Cooling Supported the Project’s Work on Efficient and Resilient Data Centre Operations

MODERATOR has published a new blog post exploring how the CoolBlock X-520 immersion cooling solution has been developed and evaluated within the project as a contributing technology enabler for more efficient, reliable, and sustainable data centre operations.
The blog presents an overview of the main areas addressed through this work. These include support for stable high-density cooling in the project test context, the use of advanced telemetry and observability for monitoring and optimisation, and the role of operational redundancy in strengthening system reliability and reducing operational risk.
It also highlights how immersion cooling is being assessed within MODERATOR for its potential to reduce cooling overheads and support waste-heat recovery readiness, while offering benefits related to maintenance, scalability, and space optimisation.
As the project continues to explore innovative approaches for transforming data centres into more energy-efficient and sustainable infrastructures, this blog provides a useful overview of one of the technologies being evaluated within the MODERATOR framework.
